My teaching runs alongside my studio practice, offering people the opportunity to explore painting and drawing with energy, curiosity, and confidence. Most of my classes and workshops take place at Hopewell Studios, Knaresborough, where I lead small, focused groups through a process that balances structured guidance with creative freedom. Whether you’re picking up a brush for the first time or looking to push your work further, the emphasis is always on developing your own visual language rather than following a formula.
Workshops range from short, intensive sessions to longer courses, exploring acrylics, oil painting or drawing, with a strong focus on observation, mark-making, and responding to atmosphere and environment. These sessions are designed to be both supportive and challenging—encouraging you to take risks and discover new ways of seeing.
Alongside my work at Hopewell, I’m also available for private tuition, small group sessions, and bespoke workshops. These can be tailored to specific interests, skill levels, or projects, offering a more personalised and flexible approach to learning.
